The textbook of Russian for Class XI is developed on the basis of the Revised Curriculum introduced in the state of Kerala. The textbook is activity-based, process-oriented, and learner-centered. It aims to realize and refine the language potential in learners.
The text is prepared with a view to helping the learners overcome the difficulties that the native Malayalam speakers are likely to confront. The book covers only the basics such as words and grammatical rules. This will be helpful to avoid confusion in young minds during the initial stages of learning and to create a strong foundation on which the more difficult aspects of the language can be built to the next level.
The SCERT textbooks are developed in a series of workshops organized by the SCERT in which a team of teachers from various Higher Secondary Schools, Colleges, and Universities was involved.
