The syllabus of Computer Applications for the Commerce is designed in order to provide options for students completing the course to pursue higher studies in Computer Applications and Commerce or make contributions in either of the two. The book begins with the concept of data processing and presents a variety of computer hardware and software for various applications of the times. It also covers computer networks and Internet technology, underlining the virtues and vices in their use.

The syllabus of Computer Application for the Humanities stream has been revised in view of the growing importance of computer-aided technology for various applications, especially in the field of publishing, information sharing, data analysis, etc. The textbook also gives consideration to other subjects of the Humanities group so as to make the learning of those subjects more interesting and effective.
